Therapy in School
Wendy offers consultancy to staff working in education who are interested in setting up art therapy in their school.
Art therapy is a creative form of psychotherapy that can be helpful for a variety of problems. It offers an opportunity to think about current situations and past experiences.
Research shows that when children are experiencing emotional difficulties, their general functioning can be affected, and they find learning very hard. Art therapy, as an intervention, can support a pupil’s psychological, emotional, educational, physical, and social development.
For an article from The Guardian about art therapy in school, read Matt Keating’s A Place to Hide and Heal.
Contact Wendy if you are considering setting up art therapy at your school.
"Wendy has been working with the school for the past 18 months and in that time has helped us transform the lives of the children she has worked with. Wendy enables each child to have a space to be themselves and shape their own understanding of who they are and their relationships."
